Mahi's Ethiopian Kitchen: Reviews & Ratings
I came into this delightful restaurant to try the Dinich Wot for the Chef's Vegan Challenge. I was amazed how flavorful my dish was. It was the perfect balance of spicy to a tomato side to cool it down. The restaurant is super clean and the staff is friendly. Great value for the food. I will be back.
this is my favorite restaurant in CoMo! mahi remembers all her customers, and the food is always delicious. the portions are great too. i always get the sega alicha wot with rice and mahi's memorized my order when i come in. the food comes out so quickly and is always nice and hot as well. she goes above and beyond to make anyone eating here feel welcomed. i feel like anyone could find something they enjoy on the menu, and there are so many vegan options as well for anyone conscious of that. truly a hidden gem!!
Absolutely delicious Ethiopian cuisine. The flavors are amazing. We have been twice now and can't wait to come back. My wife and I get the combo platter and love to try all the different menu items. We love the beet and potato vegetable sides. Prices are very reasonable. My baby likes this his normal baby food and other American foods we have tried to get him to eat.
We had a wonderful time :-). We ordered everything on the menu so that we could enjoy every flavor. The beef tartar was spicy at extremely good. I've had Ethiopia when I was a kid and started feels just like it was back then. We have plenty of food for some leftovers for a number of days We are super happy with our visit. Finding different foods in the middle of Missouri while I'm vacation be challenging get this exist. We live in the middle of nowhere and we don't have much till this place is a delight. The location is in the alley just so that anyone reading this knows. We walked the alley once before on our tour of downtown and some sites. There are only two items on the menu though we were not able to get that was eggplant comes a green beans one. For the entire menu spent less than $200.
This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I have to tell you I will definitely be back. I tried out the sampler platter so I could try multiple dishes. I would highly recommend that. I look forward to trying out something new on my next visit.
The only Ethiopian restaurant in Columbia making it the best Ethiopian restaurant in Columbia. Seriously, the chef and owner, Mahi, truly cares to produce amazing Ethiopian food and she does remember you along with what you like to eat and how spicy. The food here is always delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The inside of the restaurant is small with only about 6 - 7 tables. The service is always on point and most importantly the food is amazing, I’ve never been disappointed.
My favorite restaurant in the town. If you are craving for spicy foods, this restaurant is the perfect choice. They have lunch special which is slightly more reasonable than the normal dish. The potion is single size. It's great size if you are not sharing food with others. I recommend to go as soon as they open. They get quite busy for the lunch time.
It was so exciting to go somewhere with so many vegetarian options! It was also my first time trying Ethiopian food and it was so delicious and nutritious. I got the vegetarian platter and got to try a sample of 5 of the vegetarian dishes. My taste buds were very happy.
